chloe our middle child was born on the 12th of March 1988, she weighed a whopping 9lb 12oz, she had a head full of thick black hair, the nurses on the ward spread the news of this bouncing baby girl weighing nearly 10lb with a head full of hair, and one by one the nurses doctors even the ward cleaners came to my bedside for a peek at my beautiful baby girl, i was so proud she was mine, we named her Chloe Jayne. we took her home and introduced her to her brother and sister Jason and Emma, they loved her straight away.i always wanted a big family from being young i said i wanted 6 children and 6 i had, 4 girls and two boys,JASON, EMMA, CHLOE, SIMON, FAYE and HOLLIE. Chloe our middle child lived life to the full, she loved singing and dancing and had a very funny sense of humour, always making people laugh, we often put the music on full blast and sung our hearts out, she was very popular in our area with lots of friends, she was growing into a beautiful young lady, On the 29th of November 1999, it was just a typical day the kids went to school, Chloe had not long started high school, the day passed, and at 3.30 i set off to work, i usually saw Chloe on my way to work,but this paticular day i did not see her, An hour into my job the supervisor came to me saying i had to go home as my Daughter had been knocked down, she said do you want to go home? or to the hospital? i said take me home as i just thought she will just have scrapes and bruises, at this stage i did not know which one of my Daughters it was,i turned the corner of our street and was shocked to see quite a few police cars with their lights flashing, i ran to the first officer i saw and asked him which one of my Daughters had been Knocked down he couldnt remember her name, i went through all my Daughters names one by one, he then remembered her name CHLOE, i know it sounds silly but i did not panic as much as i would have done had it been one of my youngest Daughters who were 3 and 5 at the time, the reason being i was thinking Chloe is 11 she will be ok because she is stronger older and bigger than my younger Daughters. I arrived at the hospital it was only a 5 minutes drive away, the first people i saw were 2 police officers, thats when panic took over me, i was ushered into a family room my Husband, older Daughter, my sister and a couple of my friends were in there, by this time i knew it was not good news, we waited a while, a Doctor entered the room, i could tell by his face it was not the news i wanted to hear, then came the words, im really sorry we tried every thing possible im afraid Chloe did not make it, i wanted to wake up from this terrible nightmare. you read it in the papers it doesnt happen to you, but this was no nightmare however much i prayed it was, it wasnt, we were shown to a room where our precious Daughter was, she just looked like she was sleeping, Chloe was 11 years old when she died. i still find it hard to believe she is not coming home, Chloe is missed so so much by all her family, teachers, after school workers, and all her friends especially Jamie Lee, who was with Chloe when the accident happened, Chloe will always be remembered for her smiling face, her funny ways and her caring heart, i still cannot believe the beautiful future she would have deffinatly had, was taken away from her, but we will always remember with pride the special time we had together.
